Graphic designer with a passion for packaging design and artworking
This is a redesign of the brand identity for Animal Years, an indie-folk band based in Brooklyn. Its purpose is to create a brand identity for the band so that their aesthetic and visual identity suits their genre and music. The brand identity focuses on the meanings behind each album and the bands connection to the songs. It places them within the correct category of music through the promotional material and merchandise that represents them. The illustrations take a literal and conceptual take on the bands perception on the music and represent it in a way that can be translated to the audience. The style of illustration follows the genre but also gives the opportunity for the band to continue the illustrative style in the future by keeping a consistent colour scheme and illustration aesthetic. The outcomes account for all of the merchandise and promotional material that the band already created with extra designs to create a more legitimate identity. The recreation of past albums represent the point that if a band creates the correct brand identity when they start out their career, they don’t have to worry about re-brands later on as their aesthetic will be strong enough to be repeated.
Cat N’ Mouse Brewery
Cat N’ Mouse Brewery is a fictitious brand of IPA that aims towards the minority of IPA drinks who are women. The brand is conceptualised around the idea of women in history with references to Frida Kahlo and Mary Shelley as a focus for a flavour. The brand doesn't aim towards only women but instead tries to include them in the approach to marketing while having an aesthetic that follows the creative and colourful branding that people have come to relate to IPA.
